Victorian Tranter's patent double trigger 54 bore five shot percussion revolver retailed by B Cogsnell, Gun, Rifle & Pistol manufacturer, 224 Strand near Temple Bar London. The barrel engraved with retailers name and serial number 20126T, the trigger stamped W.Tranter's patent (patent number obscured by trigger guard), two non-original but contemporary cylinders, chequered walnut butt. In its green baize lined fitted mahogany case retaining paper label to interior, with circular brass lid, containing double cavity bronze bullet mould, also stamped W Tranter's Patent No 36?, a James Dixon & Sons powder flask and oil bottle, cleaning rod, cap tin, grease tin, stripping spanner and screwdriver.
