Booth) For Meritorious Service 30th March 1915 nearly extremely fine, with buckle brooch bar but ribbon in 2 pieces. Liverpool Echo dated 6th April 1915 reported, "Giving evidence today in a charge against James Rawlinson of Garston, of leaving a horse and trap unattended, Constable Booth (57F) said that the horse ran away from Woolton Road, Garston and as it was passing the junction of St Mary's Road, he tried to stop it, and got hold of it by the head. He was dragged about 20 yards and rendered unconscious. Rawlinson expressed his sorrow. He had called at home to see his wife, who was ill and the pony suddenly bolted. He was fined 20s.
