(from a Pastor; his h.s. on flap) uprated with Sitting Helvetia 10c Red + 5c Brown tied by fine 2-ring "AUBERSON-STE. CROIX" cds to a Convict ("Mr Maudheur") in Noumea with v. fine strike and matching "PD" nearby along with part red 2-ring "SUISSE PONTARL/BESANCON" cds, and also having Paris backstamps. Addressed (as per regulations at this date) care of the French Minister of State for the Colonies in Paris. Endorsed as received by addressee on reverse.
