Jacket is red silk lined, there is some damage to the armhole seams. The overall condition of this piece is good, only one or two small holes in the sturdy fabric.   A 19th Century military jacket, heavily embellished with cord and crocheted buttons and toggles. Origin unknown but looks to be of an Eastern European style. 34"chest. A further medieval style doublet in flocked floral velvet - looks to have been made for the theatre. Very elaborate sleeve details with black velvet zigzagging to the interior of the outer sleeve. Gold thread braiding to sleeves and neck. Quite substantial damage and fading to the fabric in several areas, 36"chest (2) £30-50
