Tipp & Co (Germany) Reichsautobahn Track and One Car Tinplate Roadway Track impressed D.R.P. 612802 to underside. Comprising 2 x straights, 11 x curves and 2 x bridge sections. The bridge sections have parapets with tinprinted "Esso" adverts to sides. This is very similar to the Marx Speedway Track apart from the joining pins, and appears to be a pre-war forerunner. Includes red tinplate clockwork Citroen Car. Clockwork motor working when tested. Length 4"/10cm. Would benefit from a clean but generally Good to Good Plus with a Poor Selfridges card box dated April 13 1940. An interesting lot. £20-£40

Gescha (Germany) Clockwork Tank. A rare pre-war tinplate tank bearing the early Gescha logo but also impressed P.W (Paul Weiss?) to the side of the tank body. Paul Weiss is thought to have worked with Gescha in the 1920's before moving to Bing. Detailed tinprinted camouflage body with grey steel wheels and rubber tracks. Gun barrel can be elevated by lever to rear of turret. Includes key. Clockwork motor working when tested, though rubber tracks have hardened with age and do not turn. Length 3.5"/9cm.
