RMS "Queen Mary". Superbly constructed model, scratch-built by B Hammersley in 1999. This finely detailed wooden electrically powered model is fitted for radio control (untested) and comes with a Futaba Attack-SR Control Unit. Length of ship 60"/153cm. Also included are a set of plans, 2 framed photographs of prototype, a 20"/51cm constructed Revell plastic model of the Queen Mary in a wooden box, together with various items of ephemera. Would benefit from a light cleaning but generally Excellent. (A lot) £100-£200

Dumas (USA) "Brooklyn" Steam Tug Boat. Nicely constructed live steam kit-built model of a New York Harbour Steam Tug. Vacuum formed plastic hull and superstructure, wood deck with detailed fittings. Powered by a gas-fired in-line twin cylinder oscillating engine, probably by Cheddar Models. Length 39"/99cm. The prototype was built in 1910 and designed to transfer railway rolling stock on special barges. Would benefit from a clean but otherwise Good Plus. The steam plant appears to have been fired on very few occasions and appears to be in Excellent condition. £200-£400

A Model of a Sea-Going Tug Boat. Probably constructed from a kit G.R.P hull and superstructure with detailed deck fittings. Substantially complete but requires further work to refurbish and finish. Harbor Models (USA) Steam Yacht Komet. Nicely constructed Kit-built model with glass-fibre hull and superstructure and wooden decks with metal deck fittings. At present this is a static model for display only but it is designed to be motorised if desired. Length 45.5"/116cm. The prototype was built as the governor's yacht for German New Guinea in 1911 but was seized by the Australian Navy in 1914 and renamed the "Una" before being sold in 1925 when she was again renamed the "Akuna". Sutcliffe (UK) Battleship. 1920's steam powered four turret tinplate model. Grey and red hull. Methylated spirit fired twin coil "flash boiler" water circulating propulsion system. Lacks mast but complete with burner. 16"/40cm long. Some areas of paint loss to hull. Detachable superstructure has paint loss, shallow dent and damage to the bridge, otherwise Good in original Good card box with illustrated label/instructions. A very hard to find model in any condition, especially with its original box. £400-£600

A large and impressive wooden Pond Yacht. Blue and white painted hull, cream and varnished wood deck with brass fittings. The hull is 60"/152cm long with a beam of 12"/30.5cm. Depth from deck to base of keel is 13.5"/34cm. Height from deck to top of mast is approximately 81"/206cm. Condition is generally Good Plus on a wooden display stand. A superbly constructed and impressive example. £100-£150

"Canfly", professionally built 3/8" scale working model racing boat by Keith Townsend in 1982, serial number 001. Timber planked hull varnished to the waterline and red below. Fitted with a three blade brass propeller. Timber deck in black. Padded seat to the rear of cockpit. Hinged aluminium engine cover. Powered by a single cylinder four stroke water cooled engine (not tested). This is an excellent example of the work of one who is regarded by many as amongst the finest model boat makers of the 20th century. Care of construction and attention to detail are evident throughout. Length 43"/109cm. Condition is generally Good Plus to Excellent. Includes a heavy slate and brass stand with plaque. Copies of letters of provenance are included. Arrangements can be made for the originals to be passed to the new owner. Background: The original "Canfly" is a racing boat built in 1922 by Harry Brecker of Windermere for Mr E.H. Pattinson. It was powered by a Rolls Royce Hawk Engine from a World War I Airship. Canfly raced regularly on Windermere and was the official's boat for Sir Henry Segrave's tragic world waterspeed record attempt on Friday 13th June 1930, rescuing the only survivor. She is now in the care of the Windermere Steamboat Museum. £1500-£2000

Bassett Lowke (UK) Iolanthe II Motor Launch. Large scale pre-war wooden motor launch. White and blue hull with gold detailing and lettering. Fitted with electric motor impressed "Bassett Lowke Made in Northampton". Rear of hull has "A Bassett Lowke Model Made in Northampton" decal. A Bassett Lowke clockwork boat motor (British Patent No.311573) is also included with this lot. Clockwork motor working when tested. Length of hull 27"/69cm.
