Donald McKellar's MM was announced in the London Gazette dated 6th August 1918. With copied MIC which confirms numbers and only issued a pair, and copy of War Diary 28/4/18 which states 22 men of the battalion awarded MM for gallantry displayed between 21st and 26th March, his award almost certainly for the start of the German Spring offensive. Sold with Seaforth's sweetheart badge with cloth kilt and sporran attachment, from Greenock. (R) £380

(Pte on TFWM, Harry Berry on plaque) very fine with West Yorkshire Regt cap badge. Harry Berry was killed in action with the 15th/17th composite battalion on 29th March 1918 and with no know grave is commemorated on the Arras Memorial. With copied CWGC, MIC and Soldiers Died, MIC lists as KIA 18/9/18 but CWGC and Soldiers Died state 29/3/18, only 155 TFWM to regiment. (R) £300

(Cpl on Star, surname spelt Jeffrey on star, Spr-A.Cpl on TFEM) very fine and better, swing mounted for wear. With copied MICs, rolls, typed research etc, William James Jeffery was born in 1893, landed France 12/8/14 with Postal Section R.E., extract from National Roll of Great War states he was with Signal Section, "A Reservist, he was mobilised at the outbreak of hostilities and drafted to France. In this theatre of war he served in the fighting during the Retreat from Mons, and the Battles of the Marne, the Aisne, Ypres, the Somme and Arras. In December 1915, he proceeded to Salonika and was engaged on important duties with the 27th Division during the operations at Monastir and on the Struma Front. He was demobilised in February 1919." Haslam, Cross Oak, Berkhamsted. Robert Humphrey Haslam was awarded a Knighthood in the London Gazette dated 9th June 1955 "For political and public services in Hertfordshire." He was additionally awarded a Military OBE for services with the Hertfordshire Home Guard in the London Gazette dated 8th June 1944. With qty of copied research, he was commissioned in 5th Bn Cheshire Regt 26/10/14, landed France 16/4/18, granted Acting Captain while commanding a Coy with 9th Bn 11/5/18, relinquished his commission on account of ill-health caused by wounds 7/5/19. He was appointed Justice of the Peace 1925, High Sheriff 1934, Deputy Lieutenant 1936, County Alderman 1940 etc. (R) £50

Fred died of wounds serving with 1/5th Bn on 30th November 1917 and with no known grave is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial. Ernest died of pneumonia serving as S/20153 Pte with 1st Bn A&S Highlanders on 3rd January 1919 and is buried in Haidar Pasha Cemetery, Istanbul. With copied newspaper extract, Pte Ernest Elliott A&SH, aged 25, died of pneumonia, after 3 years service in Salonika. With copied MICs, CWGC and Soldiers Died, only issued pairs. (R) £270
