  British America collection, many hundreds of mint and used singles, sets and souvenir sheets in mounts or hinged in three Scott albums, generally mixed mint and used to 1935 with George V lacking the high values, then mint from the Jubilee issue to around 1975 being quite complete for that period, includes B.A.T complete to 2000, useful Bermuda, Canada all used, Falkland Is. and Dependencies to 1984, Jamaica, good Newfoundland with better singles and sets including the Balbo flight overprint, etc., there is also a smattering of other British Commonwealth, some small faults or no gum, most are o.g., l.h., n.h. or used, fine-very fine.   British Columbia and Vancouver Island substantial mint and used accumulation of over 85 stamps including some in multiples with two blocks of four, most are the perforated issues starting with numerous mint, unused and used examples of #2, Vancouver Island does have an unused example and eight used including a pair of the 10c Blue imperforate (#4), most of the rest are the perforated values of the separate issues for Vancouver Island and British Columbia and a couple of the later surcharged issues, we note some varieties such as inverted watermarks on #6, 7, 7a and 12, surprisingly Unitrade only lists the #12 and Scott does not list any of them, condition is varied, many mint have o.g. but regummed are present, faults are also present but most are of fine appearance and some are truly fine or better; Scott catalog value is enormous being well in excess of $30,000.00; well worth examining.   Canada substantial old-time nineteenth century collection, housed in a deluxe Yvert padded album with dust case on blank gold leaf pages, contains over 475 singles plus another 110 multiples from over 50 pairs to as large as blocks of twelve, this collection covers the period of the 1852-57 imperforates through the 19th century with a few mint in the early 20th century to the period of the Admirals, the collection starts with eight proofs including five proofs cut from the American Bank Note Co. trade sample sheets, all five values of the 1852-57 imperforates are represented by at least one used example and the 3d Red has a mint single with substantial o.g. (thin) plus eleven used singles and two pairs, the 1859-64 "Cents" issues are extensive with numerous examples of each value showing different cancels with some colored cancels in this issue and later and varieties such as portions of the imprints within the perforations, re-entries, etc, we note three unused 3c Red's along with eight multiples including a used strip of four and block of four, the 10c value includes five unused examples and numerous shades, the Large Queens are well represented for all values including some unused copies in some values, a number of multiples including a horiz. strip of three of the 2c Green with red target cancel, a mint block of four with o.g. of the12½c Blue (back faults but attractive appearance) and two used blocks of the 15c in different shades, starting with the Small Queens mint and unused become more prevalent, each value has numerous used and unused or mint singles plus multiples up to a mint block of 12 of the 1c yellow, in the numerous mint multiples never hinged singles are found, 1897 Jubilees are complete mint as are the1897-98 Victoria Maple Leaves, 1898-1902 Victoria Numerals are complete mostly mint, and the Edward VII and Quebec Tercentenary issues are complete mint plus a few later, condition varies as would be expected in a collection of this scope, centering is often quite varied in the early perforated issues as is normally found, many stamps are sound but faults are present throughout, early unused are usually without gum or regummed, original gum becomes more the norm in the later 19th century issues though some unused will be found in the better Small Queens such as the numerous shades of the 10c value, many fine-very fine collectable stamps are present; a most interesting collection for the collector concentrating in the nineteenth century issues and well worth examining; a valuable collection with total Scott catalog value is well in excess of $125,000.00.   Canada comprehensive mint and used collection mostly in mounts housed in 24 binders, includes mint and used singles with duplication, blocks and multiples, plate blocks, booklet panes, coils and back-of-the-book including revenues, with issues to about 1970, among the classics we note #1 used, 4 unused showing the major re-entry from pos. 47, 4 used (14), 4c used, 5b used, 7 used, 8 unused and 18 unused, then a range of unused and used large and small queens, many Jubilees including $1.00 unused, $2.00 used (2) and $5.00 used, Maple Leaves and Numerals cplt. except for the 20c, Quebec cplt. mint, Admirals, 149-59, 162-77, etc., plus OX1 mint and used, OX2 used, OX3 mint (3) and an imprint block of six, OX4 (3), among the numerous plate blocks, which start in the 1920s, we note 203, 226, 321 (6), 465B (3 matched sets), O32 (4), C1, C3, E3-5 and E9, there is also a specialized collection of the 1939 Royal Visit issue by plate number and position and a few Provinces including two New Brunswick #2 covers, mixed condition, especially the 19th century, but also many o.g., n.h. or used, fine-very fine; well worth a thorough inspection.   Canada better mint sheet collection/accumulation consisting of 43 mostly complete sheets but including a few partial sheets, starts in 1917 with a top and bottom panes of 50 each of the 3c Canadian Confederation and goes to better values as late as 1956 including special delivery, postage dues, war tax stamps and officials, some of the better items we note include a full panse of 50 of the 1927 20c Brown carmine (#148) and 1946 50c Blue green (#272), the war tax stamps include a partial sheet of 93 of #MR1 and full sheets of 100 of #MR2 and #MR4, condition overall is remarkably nice and fresh for the period, colors are fresh and attractive, all with fresh o.g., frequently hinged only in the very corner stamps of the sheets leaving the vast majority never hinged, centering is variable as would be expected on the earlier issues, the vast majoity are fine-very fine; a very desirable accumulation with Scott catalog value over $41,000.00.   Canada balance of a quality collection housed in a Lighthouse hingeless album, the 19th century both mint and used with duplication and the 20th century virtually all mint, starts with two proofs and continues with the 1859 issues used to 17c with duplication, Large Queens to 15c with duplication and a couple mint 15c values, useful mint and used Small Queens to 50c value, Jubilee to 50c mint with duplication, a range of mint Maple Leaves and Numerals, Quebec issues, Admirals, then quite complete to about 1950, with scattered issues after that and a range of mint back-of-the-book issues, also three nice Newfoundland items, the overall quality is quite good, there are occasional small faults, no gum or poorly centered, however the vast majority are well centered, o.g., l.h., n.h. or used, fine to extremely fine, with some quite choice; nineteen certificates accompany.   Canada and Provinces small postal history accumulation of sixteen early covers with stamps from the period of 1859-79, includes nine covers of Newfoundland with the early perforated or rouletted adhesives, six of these have more than one stamp with some interesting combinations including two with mixed rouletted and perforated values, one with both the 3c Vermilion and 3c Blue (#33-34) paying the double rate, some of these values and combinations are quite scarce on covers, other covers include two each from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with perforated issues, the later with 12½c Black (#13) including a single franking to England and two singles on a repaired cover to Ceylon; also three covers of Canada including a 10c Red lilac (#17) on double rate cover and a single franking of the 2c Rose (#20) on local cover of Montreal, condition varies with faults to be found on both the covers and some stamps, but usages are often interesting and scarce with fine appearance or better; a nice lot for the postal historian.   Canadian Provinces mint collection housed in a Palo hingeless album, strength and bulk of value lies in the highly complete Newfoundland, which includes 1857 1d, 5d and 8d, 1860 2d and 3d (2), 1861-62 complete except #16, the Cents issues and sets are all complete to 1947 including #77 and 128, the air mails are complete except for the three rarities, as are the postage dues, the other Provinces are New Brunswick with used 1851 3d and 6d, Nova Scotia with used 3d dark blue and 6d yellow green (both with faults), and P.E.I., a few faults noted and some without gum, but overall quite clean, most o.g., l.h. or n.h., mostly fine-very fine and better.   Canadian provinces mint and used collection consisting of only the provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, New Brunswick has a concentration of the 3d Red first issue (#1) with four used singles, used pair and strip of three and a single on cover to Amherst, Nova Scotia, also including a used 6d Olive yellow (#2) and the last perforated set mint, Nova Scotia also has a selection of first issue imperforates including a strip of three of the 1d Red brown, three 3d in both dark blue and bright blue and three 6d with two different shades of yellow green and a dark green, the last perforated set is complete in mint singles but also has a number of multiples, the scarce 5c is represented by a mint horiz. imprint pair, then there are ten blocks of four and seven blocks of ten of the other five more common values including some with imprints, also a 1c Black horiz. pair imperforate vertically, faults are present in the early imperforate issues with fine-very fine appearance or better, the mint are nearly all o.g. with numerous never hinged singles within the blocks, fine-very fine; an interesting collection of these two provinces; Scott catalog value as singles in excess of $17,500.00.   Czechoslovakia massive collection offered intact in eighteen large binders contained in two large boxes, this collection covers the stamp issues from this countries inception in 1918 to 1986, important value is found in the early issues starting with an extensive selection of the Hradcany issues, includes the better imperforate values as 150h Silver Gray(#36b), specialized perforated section with numerous perf. varieties as well as printing varieties, another important section is the "Posta/Ceskoslovenska/1919" overprinted semi-postals, includes numerous examples of the Austrian and Hungarian issues so overprinted with many better values, better items that we note include one mint and two used examples of the 10K Violet (#B21), a complete set of the Austrian air mails with this overprint, signed Sanabria (#B37-39), 10K Ultramarine (#B57) and numerous other better items including varieties such as inverted overprints, etc., many of these varieties and the better items are signed by various experts, primarily Gilbert, later issues are also extensive with numerous souvenir sheets and miniature sheets including the important Centenary of the National Anthem music Souvenir sheets with folder, also includes air posts, special deliveries, postage dues and other back of the book, plus numerous related areas as post WWII local liberation city post overprints, mint and used and on cover, Bohemia and Moravia and Slovakia including many tab values and gutter pairs, Czechoslovak Legion Post, Boy Scout issues and even a nice never hinged Theresienstadt concentration camp stamp signed Gilbert, this is a fascinating collection with all kinds of varieties plus essay and proofs, general condition is quite clean, many are on specialized album pages with notes, o.g. or used, never hinged are found in the mint, particularly in the more modern issues, overall fine-very fine; certainly a collection that is well worth examining to discover all the treasures here.   Czechoslovakia postal history collection in the period when the area of Czechoslovakia was in the Austro-Hungarian empire, contained in five large binders consisting of well over 100 stampless covers and letters with handstamp postmarks, most are pre-stamp but some are slightly later in the 19th century, also includes 24 documents of various types many court related and often bearing various revenue stamps, in addition there are over 140 post cards and postal cards from around the turn of the century, includes many multicolor picture cards with Austrian franking, plus military and prisoner of war cards of WWI, all of this relates to the Czechoslovakian area of this Empire, condition varies but most are fine-very fine for the period, examine.   Germany and area extensive and voluminous collection of thousands of mint and used singles, sets, souvenir sheets and booklet panes housed in 20 Safe hingeless albums with slipcases, comprised of German States (1), Bavaria and Saar (1), Danzig and Memel (1), Deutsches Reich (1), Colonies (1), WWII occupations (1), Federal Republic (5), Berlin (2) and D.D.R. (7), as a general rule these are all quite complete, but often lack the stamps that catalog over around $500.00 or so, the German States album is well filled however the condition is typically mixed, Saar is also quite complete including the two Flood Relief souvenir sheets, the Deutsches Reich is nearly complete including the IPOSTA, Nothilfe and OSTROPA souvenir sheets, plus air mails with a Zeppelin Chicago flight set mint and officials, these being in the second Berlin album, The Federal Republic is complete mint n.h. to 2004, including the post horns (lacks a few inexpensive issues), Berlin is also complete to 1990 and DDR is complete to 1990, again lacking a few inexpensive items, while the colonies are weak, also includes two Scott albums with a mostly used collection including an OSTROPA souvenir sheet, some faults noted, mostly among the earlier issues and a few forgeries are noted, overall quite clean and mostly o.g., l.h., n.h. or used, fine-very fine; a valuable collection which deserves a thorough viewing.
