SE&CR glass Lamp Tablet BEARSTED & THURNHAM. The station is between Maidstone East and Hollingbourne, opened in May 1884 as Bearsted and was renamed in Bearsted & Thurnham 1907 only to be put back to Bearsted on 1980. Good original condition, 10 3/4" in length.

L&SWR Holy Bible from the Steamship HAVRE dated 1866. Hardback brown cover inscribed 'L&SW RAILWAY COMPANY STEAMSHIP "HAVRE". The accompanying booklet relates to some history of the ship which was built in 1856.It was wrecked in Little Russell Channel, Guernsey on 15th February 1875 without any loss of life. The Bible must have been rescued then and went into the Copp Family as written in the inside cover. The spine is missing and detachment has occurred, however, this is an amazing survivor without doubt.

Totem BR(S) LEATHERHEAD, F/F. Ex LB&SCR station, opened 1st March 1867 although the L&SWR station earlier. Situated between Dorking and Epsom. An extremely rare totem, never appearing at auction previously. Excellent colour and shine, virtually mint.

Nameplate WESTERN LADY plus matching Cabside Numberplate D1048. Ex Maybach Diesel Hydraulic built Crewe Works in December 1962. Withdrawn 28th February 1977 and now owned privately and operated by the Midland Diesel Group, Midland Railway, Butterley. Both plates are in ex loco condition.

Worksplate W.G. Bagnall Engineers 2339 Stafford, England. Ex 2'6" gauge Class ZB 2-6-2T number 201, built October 1928 for the North Western Railway.

South Eastern Railway Police Truncheon measuring 17 1/2" in length and bearing the large crown at the top, the initials 'S.E.R. horizontally across the centre and a pattern beneath. In used condition with the usual wear. A scarce Truncheon.

A trio of GWR R.E Thompson mahogany cased Lamp In/Out Instruments. One with ivorine plate No 5 above dial, another with a brass plate 123 and the last without any plate. Each has Bell On/Bell Off centre switch with Tapper at side. Original makers plate on bottom face of one.

L&NWR small copper Gauge Glass Lamp with flat face and bevelled lens. Complete with mini rapeseed reservoir/burner having a breather pipe adjacent. The side is clearly stamped LNWR WH and the chimney top is also stamped LNWR. An interesting little lamp.

GWR Tyers Train Describer Sending and Receiving Instrument bearing an ivorine plate SMALL HEATH NORTH RELIEF LINE. The top dial has 11 segments as follows clockwise:- From North Warwickshire Line; From Main Line; To Bordesley Jct Only; To Snow Hill Station Only; To Stourbridge Branch; To Wolverhampton Line; To Moor Street Station; blank; To Hockley Yard. The lower dial has only 6 segments populated and these are clockwise:- To North Warwickshire Line; To Main Line; To Bordesley Jc Only; To Tyseley Yard; Terminating At Small Heath; Terminating At Tyseley Station. A magnificent instrument throughout.

GWR Cabside Numberplate 5075. Ex 4-6-0 Castle Class WELLINGTON which was originally named Devizes Castle, built Swindon Works in August 1938. First allocation was Wolverhampton Stafford Road and in 1940 during WWII, it was renamed. Subsequent allocations include Chester and Plymouth Laira ending its days at Bristol St Philip's Marsh. Withdrawn September 1962. Scrapped at Cashmore's, Newport. Basically ex loco condition.

Totem BR(M) BARNOLDSWICK, F/F. Ex Midland Railway station opened by the Barnoldswick Railway and worked by the Midland Railway, on 8 February 1871. was the only railway station on the Midland Railway's 1 mile 64 chains long Barnoldswick Branch in the West Riding of Yorkshire in England. In virtually mint condition, just a few minor chips to the black edging. A rare totem indeed.

Tyers Single Needle mahogany cased Signal Box Telegraph Instrument with left/right sending handle, single dial and sloping desk attachment to pin messages. Used mainly on the GNR, this one is in good condition retaining the front dial glass.

GWR circular C/I Bridge Plate 31 measuring 12" in diameter, from the arches forming the bridge across the River Severn at Worcester close to where the long gone branch to Pitchcroft Race Course was. Together with an appropriate Telephone Circuit Card Worcester to Evesham, mounted in a modern frame.

In Case Of Fire etc. Measures 14" x 10" being great rarity in virtually mint condition. Together with a red on white enamel Fire Exit sign, 15" x 5" with one small repair bottom edge.

Smokebox Numberplate 30853. Ex Southern Railway Maunsell designed 'Lord Nelson' Class 4-6-0 locomotive number 853 SIR RICHARD GRENVILLE. Built Eastleigh September 1928 and allocated to Stewarts Lane. Served a spell at Nine Elms and was then transferred to Bournemouth and later Eastleigh. Withdrawn March 1962. Clear Eastleigh triangle cast into rear, totally ex loco condition.

BR(M) double sided Station Direction Sign, 21" x 10 1/2", with British Railways Totem logo at the top. Complete with original bracket. In virtually mint condition. An ever increasing rarity now that the huge majority have been split into single sided.

Also a similar LLANDOVERY - BUILTH ROAD listing Cynghordy, Sugar Loaf, Berthddu, Llanwrytyd, Garth, Cilmery etc. Finally, x4 loose circuit sheets KNIGHTON - LLANDRINDOD WELLS with different dates incl 1956. Lists include Knucklas, Llangunllo, Llanbister, Dolau, Penybont etc. All in good but used condition.

LC&DR Sykes Lock & Block Instrument with painted face 'To Up Starting To Hollingbourne'. The rim of the indicator is faintly stamped W.R. Sykes Interlocking Signal Co Ltd., London'. Chalk marks indicate that this was located at Bearsted & Thurnham. There is a mounting box accompanying to house the rodding bars beneath.

Smokebox Numberplate 6827. Ex GWR 'Grange Class' 4-6-0 locomotive built Swindon February 1937 and allocated new to Truro. Spent time at Canton and after 1948, a long time at St Philip's Marsh, Stourbridge Junction in 1962 and eventually Oxley in 1964. Cut up at Bird's Long Marston in September 1965.Totally ex loco condition retaining original bolts, washers and nuts. Recently found in a barn clearance and, along with some other prestigious plates, was lifted into a JCB bucket destined for a skip before someone realised that perhaps that shouldn't happen.

Nameplate WILDEBEESTE. Ex 4-6-0 Thompson B1 Locomotive number 1010, later BR 61010 built Darlington in November 1946 under works number 1990. Predominantly a Hull loco, first allocated to Botanic Gardens and then Dairycoates. Withdrawn November 1965. Measuring 48" x 6 3/4", it is bereft of paint being cleaned by the original owner almost 50 years ago when he obtained it from BR. There are some black paint remnants.*** INTERVAL OF APPROX 15 MINUTES ***
