1858 REMARKABLE DOUBLE DISASTER COVER TO ENGLAND; 1 Oct. 1858 env. with 6d Diadem (variable margins) tied by Sydney concentric values. Backstamped Sydney and Leicester c.d.s. carried on the "Victoria" which began leaking near Ceylon; the passengers and mail transferred to the "Oneida" at Galle who broke her screw approaching Aden.
