GENERAL - BRITISH COMMONWEALTH

SG RED KING GEORGE VI PRINTED ALBUM - the original collection offered intact, housing extraordinarily well filled apparently 95% mint hinged KGVI collection - mainly sets - appears to include most Silver Weddings with just a few used such as Hong Kong and Singapore, 1949 UPU's and scores of virtually complete mint definitive sets, most including high values + much more, the mint mainly on light hinge. At a quick count we observe over 3,250 different stamps - exceptionally well filled - the collector has obviously been upgrading sub-standard stamps as he progressed so that whilst defects are observed there is a high proportion of fine material throughout. There is still much to be done - less so in the more basic stamps .... but particularly so as the traditionally weak areas such as India/States are very weak indeed. Total catalogue value must be in the 'teens' of thousands of pounds. Wonderful opportunity for continuation / transfer / enjoyment - the album itself being in good condition but beginning to bulge being so well filled already. Heavy lot, overseas bidders, please enquire additional shipping costs before bidding – UK clients usual shipping cost will not exceed £7.50 £4500

GENERAL - THEMATICS

18042
BUTTERFLIES - A TRULY JOYOUS 'BUTTERFLIES' THEMATIC COLLECTION ... Formed over the best part of twenty years by an enthusiastic collector who has not stinted in his efforts or expense in putting together some 6 delightfully well filled and well presented albums, substantially a mint collection with much unmounted in sets housed in 'hawid' mounts - but still substantial proportion of, in the main, fine used material. The 6 albums arranged in 'Country' order - include scarce material such as China 1963 Butterflies set 20v used, 1958 700th Anniv works of Kuan Miniature Sheet hinged, minor inperfections / corner crease SG £500, 1984 Scenes from Peony Pavilion Miniature Sheet unmounted mint SG £70. Simply a joy to examine, well documented + small selection relevant reference books/material accompanies. Believed to catalogue (although not checked) in the region of £7,000=, a collection into which £1,000's of effort and investment have been put in. Quality in the main very high, the multi-ring album binders themselves being somewhat tired. 'Butterflies' are seldom offered as an intact and original collection, we doubt this collection will fail to sell first time around, but one never can tell Ö. Additional Butterflies covers are also included in a smaller well filled FDC type 2 ring binder. Remarkable. Heavy lot, overseas bidders, please enquire additional shipping costs before bidding – UK clients usual shipping cost will not exceed £7.50 £2000
