1892 (Dec 21/30) Telegrams from Theophilus Shepstone, Resident Adviser and Agent to the Swazi Nation, sent from Bremersdorp to D.J Esselen (representative of the South African Republic in Swaziland) in Somerset East or Cape Town. Shepstone assures him the Swazis are quiet and happy and there is no chance of any trouble whilst he is there; he is attending a mealie festival and silver wedding dinner from which Acting Commissioners are barred.
