Autograph Free Front Letter Duke of Wellington to the Duke of Beaufort, 1836: Stamped free- this was because members of the House of Lords and Parliament were allowed free postage, as long as they personally signed the letter. This is in Wellington's writing, signed and addressed to his friend and former ADC, The Duke of Beaufort in 1836, the Duke having succeeded as Duke in 1835. It has also on the reverse the unbroken seal of the Duke of Wellington, the envelope having been opened at the top - thus not breaking the seal £200-400
