A LARGE BRONZE VASE BY TAKAMURA TOYOCHIKA (1890-1972) 20th Century. Of ovoid form, well cast with a horizontal band of studs enclosing arabesque motifs in dark brown patina imitating terracotta texture, with the seal mark Toyochika. 27cm H. £200-300 A son of the sculptor Takamura Koun, Toyochika received many prestigious awards for his fine metal casting work and became a 'Living National Treasure' in 1964.
