Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y17 1930 Packard Victoria Pre-production trial model - bare metal body and chassis, bare metal windscreen and radiator surround, bright red seats, dull red smooth roof (not textured) and trunk, bare metal 24-spoke wheels (note axles have not been spun down by the factory so wheels and axles are loose). Model differs from standard production issues in the following ways: base has "No.Y16 1930 Packard Dietrich", there are 2 x cast open holes in front of the engine sump, front bumper bracket between the front wings is square rather than triangular, both spare wheel recesses are narrow rather than wide, rear bumper although missing would have been held by only a single rivet rather than a twin rivet and fuel tank is missing both cast straps, the radiator casting does not have the twin open holes to allow the grille to be clipped into place. Model is missing both front & rear bumpers along with radiator grille - Excellent (does have some marks to plastic roof) in Excellent standard production issue purple/yellow window box. Very rare model indeed possibly unique with having a Y16 Packard Dietrich base. £300-£400
