Provenance: This life mask was gifted to the current owner as a thank you, after having been invited to sit as a make-up tester with artist Steve Donald who was working for the Jim Henson company during the mid-1980s. Images of this make-up session where this life mask is visible within the studio are available upon request. This life mask was believed created to design prosthetics and make-up for the scenes in which David Bowie's character John Blaylock ages rapidly. This is an original life mask and not one of the limited edition versions recently created for and displayed at the David Bowie Is… Exhibition held at the Victoria & Albert Museum. £800-1200
