Third Reich Luftwaffe Officer's sword, maker's mark King seated over SMF Solingen (Solinger Metallwaffenfabrik Stoeker & Co), also 4 legged stool over 5, blue leather grip with silver wire thread this with minor rubbed spots, swastikas to crossguard and pommel, blue leather buffer pad, pommel with oak leaf design, blue leather scabbard with a few knicks towards the bottom, blue leather hanger and belt attachment with pebble design clip, these with some bare patches, belt attachment stamped LBA on inside, sword generally extremely fine with no blade damage, scabbard good very fine. Also with cloth carrying cover with blue leather tip (this now holed) and did have a blue leather carrying handle, only attachment remains, handle missing. Buyer must collect. (See photo) £800

Stevens & Co Ltd, London, mahogony box with key, comprising 600 approx red and blue slate gaming pieces for red and blue armies, sub-divided into Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, Engineers, Machine Guns, Skirmishers etc, with rulers (2), compasses (2), dice (2), brass yard scales (2), callipers (2), dice shaker, yellow, red and blue pegs etc, the box 310m x 100mm x 225mm with two lift out trays and compartment in base, generally about excellent, few scratches to lid of box, missing field board and approximately 30 pieces. This game was played on a board (missing) by Cadets learning the skills of battle strategy. (See photo) (½B) £500

  Warwickshire Yeomanry interest framed original unsigned watercolour painting of H.M. Transport "Leasowe Castle" in disruptive pattern camouflage steaming in convoy. The Leasowe Castle carrying over 2900 troops including the Warwickshire Yeomanry and the South Notts Hussars was torpedoed at 1245am some 100 miles north of Alexandria by UB51, and sunk at 2am. The naval escorts managed to save the majority of troops but some 100 died including 10 men of the Warwickshire Yeomanry. Painting measures 52.5cm x 32cm, frame measures 76cm x 53cm. There is some minor foxing and a few chips to frame, paper backing on reverse of frame is torn. Buyer must collect. £90
