  A 1960's/70's Bus Stop brown crepe maxi dress. The dress is long sleeved and buttons down the front to fasten. The bodice has a yolk feature with the fabric slightly gathered beneath. Labelled size 10 though more like a small 8. A further 80's Nina Ricci two piece - skirt and blouse. The blouse is brown silk with a silk polka dot collar and trimming around the sleeves. Fastens with short zip at back. The straight fitted skirt is matching polka dot with a small split to the back. One of the cuff ends on the right sleeve needs attention. (3) £20-40

  A black silk and lace Victorian bodice, with beautiful detailing and covered button embellishment running down the sleeves and front panel of the garment. The back finishing almost mirrors the front but with extra lace and embroidery. The garment does have some wear and damage - most noticeably to the front button fastening and some stress to the lace at the back of the neck. The inside is mostly very tidy and intact. The labelling reads 'Made in USA, Kleinerts Beauty'. Overall condition is good for age £30-60

  A beautifully tailored and finished 1940's navy grosgrain skirt suit. The fitted jacket is part-lined and with added stiffener to create a crisper shape and the three-quarter length sleeves have turned cuffs. This garment has an unusual and clever fastening feature with the two top buttons crossing right over left and the bottom two conversely. Also hooks to ensure a smooth fit. The straight pencil skirt has a side metal zip and a closed vent to the back. Approximate size 10 and good vintage condition. (2) £80-100

  A 1950's/60's black heavy grosgrain opera coat - no label but beautifully tailored and finished. The garment features raglan sleeves with a deep cuff at the wrist and two front slit pockets.   An early 1900s silk and lace negligee. A beautiful garment of cream fine cotton muslin and lace which fastens at the front of the bodice with tiny mother of pearl buttons. The gown falls from the empire line to a longer train at the back and has a silk satin bow detail at the bust. The garment is fully lined with very fine pale pink silk. There is a small area of fabric stress at the back of the neck and at the front bodice seam, otherwise this garment is in lovely condition for its age and delicacy £80-100

An ivory satin skirt covered with chiffon drops from the bodice and floral silk ribbon has been added to the hem, back and bodice. Garment very delicate and some of the silk has disintegrated. A 19th Century satin and silk childs bodice with lace and chiffon to the neck. Drop chiffon sleeves and chiffon detail to bodice. Interior silk is disintegrating although outer garment is fair. A further embossed silk ivory Victorian skirt which falls to net and ribbon work on the lower part. Interior silk disintegrated though outer is reasonable. (3) £100-120

  A vintage 1980's 'St. John' of Irvine, California knitted two piece, skirt and blouson. St.John is an upscale American brand that specialises in women's knitwear and was founded in 1962 by Robert and Marie Gray. This two piece comprises a knitted blouson which fastens with a zip from the waist to the bust. The neckline is piped in black and features two bows with diamante additions to the other fastenings. The skirt is plain and fitted with a back vent to hem. Includes original belt. Outfit in excellent condition. Approx size 12-14. (2) £100-150

Click to view full image... A stunning 1950s 'Norman Hartnell' full length ballgown. A beautifully structured and tailored dress by one of the master designers of mid-century glamour. This dress has a boned, fitted bodice falling to a very slight drop waist which along with the interior hip pads accentuates the fullness of the skirt. There are further layers of net and heavy underskirting to create more volume. The dress is entirely of cream lace with two bands of hand-sewn sequins across the bodice and around the perimeter of the skirt. Hartnell has cleverly inserted two strips of lilac coloured net underneath the cream lace which highlights the sequin and bead work beautifully £750-800
