  Substantial dealer's working cover stock of many thousands of covers and cards, nearly all sleeved and priced in twelve well filled long cover boxes and in eight binders, this stock belonged to a mid-western cover dealer who retired from the business over ten years ago because he had to stop doing shows due to old age and it has not been shown since, the marked retail prices have been meticulously tabulated for a total retail value of $109,459.00 and covers most aspects you would expect in such a stock such as States A to Ohio ($9,786), Maine to Wisconsin ($10,483), R.P.O., H.P.O. & Streetcars ($5,845), air mails, Zeppelin, fairs, etc. ($6,387), military, A.P.O. and more ($9,957), foreign ($6,671), oversized covers, which contain a lot of better material ($19,195), 20th century ($6,035), material in binders ($6,182), etc., the condition is pretty much typical of a working dealer's stock, largely fine-very fine; a "fresh to the market" stock that is all priced up and ready to retail or Ebay.   South Carolina postal history collection of 65 covers with strength in stampless and Confederate States periods, good Charleston with a nice variety of datestamp styles and rate markings featuring 1798 "C. Nov 27" straightline handstamp, other stampless postmarks include red "Camden" with matching negative "5" rate, two "Edgefield C.H." and "Gadsen," Confederate usages include handstamped paids from Abbeville, Camden (2) one on an adversity cover, Columbia, Darlington, Georgetown, Greenville, Pocotalgos and Spartansburg, plus several ms. postmarks and franking by CSA adhesives, usual mixed condition, however fine-very fine predominate so this would make a nice basis for a serious collection. Mexican-American war cover correspondence comprised of 46 covers without enclosures sent in 1847 from Frank Woodbridge back to his wife in Detroit, each with endorsement noting date and location, better postal markings include straightline "PT Isabela/Jan . 16, 1847" and matching "10" rate, two different sizes of straightline "Vera Cruz/Mex" dated handstamp, one with "X" rate, five covers with boxed "Vera Cruz" dated handstamp and matching "10" rate, except one with ms. "20" rate, 25 covers with New Orleans transit datestamps in black or blue with handstamped "10" or "20" rates, except one with "Ship" handstamp and ms. "12" rate, plus ten covers with only ms. "10" rate (one due 10) and two covers with no postal markings at all, mixed condition as is typical of a correspondence, ranging from faulty to very fine, with most being fine or better; an interesting correspondence deserving to be researched.   1904 Louisiana Purchase small group of ten covers or cards in binder, all addressed to Dikran Khan Kelekian, the Commissioner General for Persia, seven bearing Exposition stamps, virtually all with Exposition corner cards, including one large circular bearing 1902-03 1c to the commissioner's office in New York from the Division of Exhibits, eight items addressed to the Exposition Grounds, one on illustrated #U395, one cover bearing a 3c pair, another with the 2c (2) and 6c in postage dues, some small faults, larger items showing edge faults but much attractive; interesting biographical details of Mr. Kelekian who was a prominent art dealer who died in January 1951 when he fell to his death from the twenty-first floor of the St. Moritz hotel in New York.
