(imperf.) and 4d. marked "Existing Colours", Keytype stamps in carmine perf. 14 (marked "1d" alongside) and in brown perf. 12 ("6d"), both without duty marked "Proposed colours for surface printed stamps" and with overlap piece bearing stamp in blue, perf. 14, in red-brown, perf. 14 (with "X" across face) and 1d. (apparently oxidised) the first two without duty marked "2 1/2d Proposed colour, being that established by the International Postal Convention for this duty", "4d." and "6d" respectively, the last two bracketed as "Proposed colours". Alongside these is a unique stamp in mauve perf. 12 overprinted "cancelled" (D4) with note above "Colour agreed to in CA's letter of 4 Dec 83". See Samuel page 168 for further notes on this last item. A wonderful showpiece. Photo £8,000-10,000
