A good quality 18th Century English 16 bore flintlock sporting gun by Mortimer, the 34ins barrel decorated at rear with vine work and scroll bearing indistinct wording, the lock and hammer profusely engraved with floral design bearing engraved name "Mortimer", the rear of the lockplate inlaid with silver swags as well as ornate silver fittings to the butt plate and trigger guard which bear the silver hallmark for Birmingham 1790 and maker C.F.
