Harry was taken on by Robert Churchill as a jobber during the Depression of the 1920s when Robert Churchill's gunmaking firm was booming.c) c1950 - Original photograph (6 in x 7 in) of George Dabinett, stripper & finisher, taken in Robert Churchill's Orange Street workshop, with notes on reverse. George came from Dorchester and was apprenticed to Robert Churchill's uncle, Edwin John Churchill in 1888 and became his foreman at 8 Agar Street, Strand.
