Sixpence Value

Two Plates were produced; Plate 2 and Plate 3 each consisted of 24 stamps. On the first stamp in the first row from Plate 3, the typewriter failed to move on after the "R" was typed, so the full stop was typed on top of the foot of the "R" and the "I" then followed without a space. The major varieties were:
a) "Rvenne &" for "Revenue"Plate 3, Pos. 13
b) Error; 2d. and 6d. se-tenant and "ISLND"Plate 2, Pos. 19
c) "PENCC" errorPlate 2, Pos. 10
d) "L" of "LONG" doubledPlate 2, Pos. 23
e) "G.R.I." shifted to rightPlate 2, Pos. 20
f) No space between "R" and "I"Plate 3, Pos. 1

The quantity includes five 2d. stamps produced se-tenant with 6d. stamps in error. A total of 40 remainders were destroyed. A distinction has to be made between black top impressions and black carbon copies and they have been treated as separate stamps
