Government of India, 10 rupees, Bombay, 8 June 1863, serial number C/17 30767, black and white, Queen Victoria in profile at top left, with wreath of Oak and Bay, value in black tablet at low left (Pick A1, Razack-Jhunjhunwalla 2.1), this is one of the first series of notes which were by the government of India put into circulation in the Indian paper money Act of 1861. They are the only uniface notes featuring a portrait of Queen Victoria. In ICG holder 20*, fine, internal splits, graffiti on reverse, a very attractive example of an exceptionally rare note, absent from most collections, superb £30,000-35,000
