Footnote:-This pistol was issued to Hanoverian Troops who fought with the British at Waterloo. Following the cessation of hostilities the Legion returned to Hanover with their arms which, in the 1840's, were converted to percussion, the rammer throats were strengthened with a brass plate and a cross-bolt safety was fitted. The number 60 which is stamped on the pistol relates to the numbering system use by Hanover's Garde-Kurassieregiment £500 - 600
