λ A hairwork and pearl memorial ring, circa 1780 The oval ivory plaque applied with a raised urn formed of hairwork and decorated with half seed pearls, the reverse of the plaque engraved, Jephson Busteed Died 12 June 1779 AG 29 Yrs, to a polished band, ring size N½ £250-£350 The surname 'Busteed' is uniquely regional to Cork, Ireland. There the family held a substantial estate of nearly 2,000 acres in the baronies of Orrey and Kinalea, later incorporating part of what was formerly the estate of King James.

A hairwork and half-pearl mourning ring, circa 1795 The oval glazed plaque containing a hairwork scroll with seed pearl and wire accents, within a half-pearl surround, the reverse engraved ' Maria Heathcote OB 5th Jan. y 1792 At 85 ' to a tapered band, ring size O £250-£350 Maria Eyles was born in June 1706. She married George Heathcote of London in 1724, who became Lord Mayor of London in 1742. Upon the death of her brother Edward in 1792, Maria inherited Southbroom House in Wiltshire, which then became known as Heathcote House and is now the home of Devizes School.

A hairwork bracelet with an enamel clasp, circa 1835 The elaborately plaited hairwork bracelet, terminating in a rectangular black enamel clasp with chased decoration, inscribed 'In Memory Of' in the border around the initials CRF, the reverse engraved, 'Caroline Reid Feilden, born 24 Nov. 1814, died 13 July 1835, Aged 20' with an oval glazed compartment, length 15.0cm £300-£500 Caroline Reid Feilden was the daughter of the 1st Baronet Feilden, Sir William Feilden, and Mary Haughton Jackson. Sir William was an MP for Blackburn, Lancashire from 1832-47 and High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1833. Caroline was the ninth of their twelve children and lived in Feincowles, Lancashire.
