Larse of Paris, the 10.75ins diameter cast gilt brass dial inset with shaped numeral cartouches decorated in blue with Roman numerals, to the eight day two train movement with turned brass and steel pillars and outside locking plate, altered escapement now with silk suspension and striking on a bell, contained in tortoiseshell Boulle case of bold shaped outline, surmounted by gilt brass figure of an angel holding a cornucopia seated on a globe, the incurved top section and front and sides of the case inlaid in engraved brass Boulle work of bold leaf and flowerhead form with gilt brass leaf scroll mounts and mouldings enclosed by a single glazed door, the lower panel decorated with a female figure seated in a horse drawn chariot, with shaped apron with leaf mounts and on four leaf capped scroll feet, 38.5ins high (movement with some alterations, case restored but some Boulle lifting in places)
