The octagonal top with moulded concave sides, cross-banded throughout with a hinged rectangular top revealing hinged side compartments and velvet and cedar lined interior. Having a pull forward work box fitted with pleated material to the outside; standing on shaped square legs with brass leaf cast roundels, joined by a platform base with brass lions paw feet 59cm wide 47cm deep 77cm high. (Note: Robert Wood was a celebrated cabinet maker from Bristol who specialised in manufacturing furniture in Polyanthus and other rare British Woods, He received a Royal Patent and supplied furniture to William IV.
