A dress sword with gilt hilt, and Lion head pommel (Lion with green and red eyes), the folding hand guard with oak leaf and anchor decoration, the white coloured grip with twisted wire and sword knot. Blade stamped W.K.C (Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Companie), the blade fullered with etched decoration (some areas of rust and some dents to the cutting edge). Possibly 17thc and probably Dutch/Flemish, with a highly decorated silver coloured metal hilt and double shell guard including various figures, with a colichemarde blade and etched decoration (etching is worn and some rust marks to blade).   AN AMERICAN SOCIETY SWORD & SCABBARD. Having a gilt knights helmet pommel, with white ivorine grip decorated with masonic devices. The blade etched with knights and inset sloping crosses, skull and crossbones, etc. The blade marked The McLilley & Co , Columbus Ohio being 27.3/4" in length. The gilt decorated scabbard and croosguard inset with enamel sloping crosses. The legend 'Be Though Faithful unto Death and I will Give Thee a Crown of Life. The Knights of Ohio C 1900, in very clean condition with some loss of the enamel in places. £100-150 (+ 30% BP*)
