Elizabeth Keddington married John Howes of Morningthorpe Manor (1662-1737), whose heir took it to Shelton Hall at which sale by Bonhams, Bury St Edmunds - 11/10/2006; it was purchased.
The attribution was tentatively made by Duleep Singh in his book "Portraits in Norfolk Houses", vol 2, p70, No 19, the artist and sitter were contemporaries.
