Star Wars Original Movie Poster Acetate Transparency Dated/Signed 1977. It comes with a letter of authenticity from the vendor and a Notarized LOA from the California Jurat. "The following is a beautiful never seen before original colour Star Wars Movie Poster Acetate created in 1977 by artist Bill Selby and submitted to George Lucas at 20th Century Fox Studios. George Lucas used the acetate in the approval process for what is now the rarest of all Star Wars Movie Posters. I acquired this acetate approximately 30 years ago direct from a 20th Century Fox Executive who was selling their memorabilia collection. It is exactly as found approximately 8.5" x 11" matted to 11" x 14". I have had a conversation with the artist Bill Selby who confirmed that he did present this to George Lucas for Approval. Bill Selby during this time period was the art director of Factor's who was handling the merchandising of Star Wars T-shirts, posters and other items. "Happy 40th Anniversary." "May the Fourth be with You." Bill Selby is a famous cover artist and is well known for his Star Wars paintings and Famous Monsters covers. For reference, the acetate transparency for the Star Wars Empire Strikes Back Crawl sold for $40,000 on May 15th, 2011. This will be a rare and exciting opportunity for Star Wars collectors. £2500-£5000
