Egyptian-style Sarcophagus, containing "Nancy": a unique piece of original artwork. Artist Mission Statement: "Whilst researching the Egyptian concept my sarcophagus with a modern twist was born. The structure made from cardboard was then layered five times with mod roc, each layer taking twenty-four hours to completely dry. Next it was sprayed gold, the figures drawn on, then painted in ink and acrylic. The lid was constructed from cardboard straps and again five layers of mod roc applied in the same way. "NANCY", so called because as a teenager I loved the punk rock image, from the hair to make up, to clothes, up-cycled straps, belts and even the tartan that covers the mummy's body and legs were once part of my look."
