This certificate is awarded to Horace Radcliffe Woodcock the Station Master of Hepscott Station part of the North Eastern Railway opened on the 1st April 1858 and closed on the 9th March 1964. British Railways Midland Region First Aid Box, this is a metal box with hinged lid, mark to the front BRM (BR Midland Region) with the red and white cross to the front. There is a label to the front side "You are on your honour not to remove any articles from this box except in cases of injury or illness". There is a further British Railways contents label on the inside of the box which is split into 10 different sections and has a number wound dressings ie bandages, absorbent lint bandages, triangular bandages and others. Railwayana quantity of cast plates and notices consisting of Rothbury seat back measuring 28" x 4 1/2" approx. Rothbury was a station in Northumberland part of 13 mile single track line opened in November 1870 and absorbed into the North British Railway in 1872, the station was closed in 1963. "Penalty for Neglect £2" notice, "Shut This Gate" together with a notice for "Any persons not fastening this gate after having passed through is liable to a penalty for 40s", together with a "Keep This Gate Shut" mounted on a wooden base (broken in 3 sections).
