| STAINED GLASS FROM MADRESFIELD COURT
| The following four lots come from Madresfield Court which has been in the possession of the Lygon family since the 12th Century. The house was the seat of the Earls Beauchamp until the title died out towards the end of the 20th Century. The panels contain elements both from the coat of arms of the Lygon family with the swan and bear and also capital 'B's' for Beauchamp. The house was greatly enlarged in the Tudor Period and then again in Victorian times under the Architect Philip Charles Hardwick and these panels presumably date from this time.
