ROBERT THOMPSON OF KILBURN - CARVED PHEASANT a large carved oak figure of a Pheasant in a running pose, carved with foliage around the base. Signed to the base with a Carved Mouse, small chip to the beak. 27cms high, 45cms long *This Pheasant was probably carved by Stan Dodds, a Master Carver who produced a number of these Pheasant figures for Mouseman. GORDON RUSSELL ROSEWOOD SIDEBOARD & SIDE TABLE - CIRCA 1935 a Rosewood veneered sideboard with two cupboard doors and five drawers. With metal handles and cylindrical feet. Also with a Rosewood veneered side table with a curved front, single drawer with divisions and slender cylindrical feet. Both with gold coloured plaques, Gordon Russell, Broadway. Sideboard 65ins. (2) *These items were designed by R D Russell (Gordon's brother) in 1935, and were originally made in Bombay Rosewood with Elm lines, and the handles made from Birmabright Rustless metal. SIDNEY BARNSLEY (1865-1926) - ARTS & CRAFTS SETTEE a large oak settee, the back with vertical chamfered splats and carved chevron design. With curved sides and arms and exposed pegs and joints, and with a wooden seat with leather straps. 86ins. (218cms) across, 28 1/2ins. (72cms) deep, 38ins. (97cms) high *This settee descended through the Gimson family until the 1980's, when it was given to Sir Anthony Denny Bt, who lived at Daneway House in the late 20thc, and subsequently at the Priest's House, Muchelney.
