A LARGE WOODEN FRAME/PLAQUE FEATURING A SMALL BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO OF BASIL J.D. GUY V.C., together with a signature, enclosed within the plaque, the plaque tells the story of how Basil John Douglas Guy was awarded the Naval VC, at age 18yrs being only the second Midshipman to be awarded the Victoria Cross(Naval) during the 'Boxer Rebellion'Tientsin, China 1900, he was part of the Naval Brigade, it is believed that this may have hung in the school hall of a school attended by Guy, the very impressive group of medals awarded to Guy is currently on display at the Lord Ashcroft Gallery at the Imperial War Museum in London, a one-off item commemorating one of the earlier Naval Victoria Crosses awarded £100-200 plus BP*

TWO WWII ERA SILK ESCAPE MAPS, showing Northern France and the Low Countries, together with Spain, with a large quantity of copied paper provenance from close family, showing that they were the property of Rear Gunner Arthur Clayton. DFC.W/O 1869599. RAF who flew in Lancasters of 635 Sqdn and was shot down on the evening of 5th January, 1945 over Holland, it was his 49th Mission, the paperwork deals with how he was taken in by friendly Dutch civilians, and smuggled across the Country, eventually allowing him to escape back to Gt. Britain, he was the only one of eight crew which made it back, the remainder being injured (Hospital) or taken POW, a vast amount of reading with copies of photos, showing the length that the Dutch helped re-patriate this Airman, much of the research being carried out by family members on visits to Holland to meet the people involved, a great archive of immotive history £50-80 plus BP*
