| Private Collection Phillip Ashton Richardson - Born 6th March 1959, died 9th July 2016. Phillip was born and grew up in Ipswich, Suffolk. From a small child his love of art was evident, and he spent much of his time pencil drawing and sketching. On leaving college, his drawing skills led him to a career as a Cartographer in the Netherlands and London, with various oil companies. He lived in Twickenham, and enjoyed collecting items bought from auctions and antique fairs around London. He never lost his love for Suffolk, and returned to his home county several times each year, primarily to visit family, but always took these opportunities to spend many happy hours visiting antique shops and fairs around Suffolk. The lots offered into the sale show his passion for Art and Design from the mid 19th Century to the 20th Century. | |
