  QV Royal Navy LSGC (narrow suspender) to PLY.3145 J.F. Bratby Pte R.M.L.I. good very fine, toned. James Frederick Bratby was born 4/4/66, enlisted 4/11/84, and was killed in action aged 49 at Gallipoli when serving on H.M.S. Goliath on 13th May 1915 and with no known grave is commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial. Goliath was providing gunfire support to the landings when she was hit by 2 torpedoes fired by the Turkish torpedo boat Muavenet-i Milliye. The Goliath sank with the loss of 570 of her 700 crew. With 8 copied pages of service record, William Waters was born in Brackley, Northants, enlisted in 52nd Foot 30/9/58 aged 18, transferred to 64th Foot 1/10/61 and then 3rd Bn Northamptonshire Regt 8/10/79, discharged 7/7/82, only overseas service was 5 years in Malta, so this is full entitlement.
