(Burutu only partially clear); plus fine 15 Dec. 1899 env. to London with GB 1d Lilac tied by similar strike of this same boxed Burutu d.s. but in scarce black ink. Good pair showing the reduction from UPU 2½d rate to Imperial 1d Postage rate (introduced on 25 Dec. 1898). Plus British Bechuanaland GB 1889 ½d vermilion o.p. 19 mm "Protectorate" mounted mint with o.p. misplaced to left (trace of toning on top perfs) and a fine used example (SG 53; £725).
