Somerville balsa model mock up Ford A Series "AA Relay" Transporter - it is believed that this model may have served as a new Dinky model before Doug McHard, (formally of Meccano Ltd and founder of Somerville Models), may have been involved in the production of a new Dinky model that was never made. Photocopies of an article that appeared in the Model Auto Review from April 2004 are included with the model which may explain its history. These Ford A Series were in the AA fleet from 1974 until the 1980s. The paintwork has started to crack with age but still a Good unusual example, fitted with metal wheels and rubber tyres, 123mm long - an unusual item which comes in plain card box with some inner packaging. £180-£220
