1966 MASSEY FERGUSON 135 Multi-Power 3cylinder diesel TRACTOR Reg. No. KBJ 679D Serial No. FG52095 Hours: 969 The Massey Ferguson 135 is quite possibly the ultimate 'classic tractor', with consistent demand from collectors to end users, this diverse and reliable tractor has proven itself over many years and still commands much admiration from its operators. Launched at the 1964 Royal Smithfield Show, Massey Ferguson's 100-Series 'Red Giants' range signified a huge step forward for the company. Fitted with a Perkins 3cylinder 2.37litre AD3.152 diesel engine producing a useful 45.5hp and it could also be specified with Multi-Power, an innovative system that allowed the number of ratios to be doubled. The system used hydraulic clutch engagement of an extra set of constant mesh gears to give effectively 12 forward and 4 reverse gears, giving 30% faster speeds in each gear up to 21.7mph. The new purchase price of these machines was £885. KBJ 679D was acquired at a farm dispersal sale in Suffolk on 8th October 2005. The tractor was originally purchased new by Mr RN Creasy of Cranley Manor and at the time of the auction only 910 genuine hours had been recorded. At the same sale a 1965 Massey Ferguson 135 also fitted with Multi-Power and with just 1,107 hours was also sold, both machines were supplied new by Thurlow Nunn of Elmswell, Suffolk. The tractors low hour count can be attributed to the work they undertook on a 125acre Suffolk farm with the main cultivation work being carried out by the real work horses on the farm, a 165 and a 565. The two 135s were only used for light duties such as grass cutting. Both tractors at the sale were sold into preservation and this 135 has only changed hands once and recorded another 59 hours since the hammer originally fell. Fitted with a Duncan Supercab, Multi-Power, rear linkage, puh and shod with 12.4/11-28 rear and 6.00x16 Goodyear wheels and tyres. It will be offered for sale with the original green card logbook, V5C, original auction catalogue and auction advert. Arguably one of the finest 135s to be offered in recent years, this tractor has all the wear commensurate of a sub 1,000 houred machine with bright paintwork, good tyres and all the correct features. This tractor presents a very rare opportunity to purchase a time warp classic and would be an enviable addition to any collection.

DAVID BROWN VIG/100 'Thresherman' 4cylinder petrol/paraffin TRACTOR Serial No. H10071 These much admired machines were converted from RAF heavy towing and winching tractors, to help boost the post war food effort due to a shortage of machines nationwide. Their main duties were as a static power plant to help drive belt driven implements and machines such a threshing drums. This stunning Thresherman has been the subject of an extensive two year restoration project, with a lot of time spent sourcing and fabricating parts. An example of this would be a cost of £4,000 alone for the new wings all round that have been expertly reproduced. The tractor has retained its original India rear and Firestone front tyres, adding to the tractors originality. It is fitted with a David Brown rear winch (requiring steel cable), front belt pulley and has been repainted to a very high standard. Ready to be shown off at the shows and rallies this tractor would be the desire of many a collector and enthusiast. Please go to https://youtu.be/jx2Aw3jo4-c to see this tractor in action. v922 Pair 1969 DAVID BROWN 780 Selectamatic 3cylinder diesel TRACTORS Reg. No. OMB 663H/OMB 664H Serial No. 605334/605829 October 1965 saw the introduction of a new range of models and colours schemes within David Brown, with the arrival of the 990, 880 and 770 Selectamatics tractors finished in orchid white and metallic chocolate brown. 1967 marked the arrival of the 46hp 780 model with LiveDrive and a two stage clutch. The 780 was manufactured between the years 1967 to 1971 at the Meltham plant in West Yorkshire and some 3,256 units were produced in total. Two separate Delivery Notes show these two 780s were supplied new by Burgess Bothers of Macclesfield, Cheshire on 31st January 1970 to a Mr W Robinson Esq of Yew Tree Farm, Bolshaw Road, Cheadle, Cheshire. The two logbooks confirm this and show a first date of registration to be 9th February 1970. They have remained together for the last 46 years and were treated to a full restoration a few years ago and are reported by the vendor to run very well. The tractors have been fitted with a more modern seat but the original seats will be offered with the pair along with the two original logbooks, V5s and a selection of manuals. This brace of very well presented David Brown 780s will be offered for sale as a pair, presenting a unique opportunity to acquire two tractors with consecutive registration numbers. Should the two tractors not meet their reserve they will then be offered individually, with OMB 663H being offered first and sold provisionally until OMB 664H is sold ensuring the tractors remain together if one is unsold.

c1930 AUSTIN V.33 vineyard 4cylinder petrol/paraffin TRACTOR Serial No. 4401 The first French-built Austin's of the early 1920s were essentially English tractors assembled in France. However, they did take on their own identity with a few differences as standard. For instance, a longer, shallower tank that passed under the bonnet took the place of the shorter, deeper fuel tanks. Also the addition of a water pump and an oval radiator surround helped identify the French built machine. Seldom seen this particular French built vineyard Austin was subject to an earlier repaint and is shown with the later oval radiator surround and smaller/narrower front wheels and spade lug rears. With the underslung exhaust and thin rear mud guards, it sits in the desired specifications for field and vineyard operations over the water. A fine looking example of a specialised Austin tractor that has developed an appealing patina, is a convenient size for easy transport and would be an interesting addition to any serious vintage tractor collection.
