  The Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George Companion's (CMG) miniature breast badge with buckle in Spink & Son case of issue attributed to George Lamb. With gold coloured buckle clasp for full size order. Also with collection of 10 appointment documents pertaining to George Lamb(e) of the Honourable East India Company Bengal Establishment with appointment as Surgeon 11/7/23, Inspector General of Hospitals 10/4/47, Surgeon General 23/7/48 and Physician General 10/2/49 all folded but in good condition, some with wax seals. Also with printed 14 page booklet of a petition submitted by George Lamb to Secretary of State for India. He was born 26/10/1787, served 44 years in Medical Service if HEIC, died 3/2/62. Lamb with Proficiency certificates dated 1940. With newspaper cutting which states he served through the Bhutan campaign with his regiment, and copied research, commissioned in 4th Native Infantry 16/12/58 and later served Bengal Staff Corps, promoted Lieut 26/8/60, Capt 4/11/70, Maj 4/11/78, to US List as Colonel 11/11/96. With copied roll, he served with No 3 (Peshawar) Mountain Battery and was in Samana 5th April to 25th May 1891. George Rothney Lamb was commissioned 22/8/83, promoted Lieutenant 29/4/85, Captain 20/2/95. He died on the 13th May 1902 when he fell from his horse at the Royal Artillery Camp, Bulford. Victoria Cross action prisoner's 1896 Queen's Sudan Medal, 1899 QSA 4 clasps Cape Colony, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill, Wittebergen, 1902 KSA both clasps and Khedive's Sudan Medal 2 clasps The Atbara, Khartoum to 3412 Pte G. Robertson 1/Cam Hdrs (1st Cam'n Highrs on QSA, Cameron Highrs on KSA, 1 Cam Highrs on Khedive's) very fine and better, in a named wooden fitted box. With 6 copied pages of service record and other research, George Robertson was born in Burntisland, enlisted 24/6/92 aged 18, served in Malta 1893-95, Gibraltar to 1897, Egypt 4/10/97 to 2/3/00, then to S Africa, discharged 19/6/04, he was wounded in action at Stinkhoutboom on 24th July 1900 and was taken prisoner at Nooitgedacht on 13th December 1900. Also taken prisoner on this day was Sgt Donald Farmer, the winner of the first Victoria Cross to the Cameron Highlanders, for his bravery where, "During the attack on General Clement's camp at Nooitgedacht, 13th December 1900, Lieutenant Sandilands, Cameron Highlanders, with 15 men went to the assistance of a picquet which was heavily engaged, most of the men having been killed or wounded. The enemy, who were hidden by trees, opened fire on the party at a range of about 20 yards, killing 2 men and wounding 5, including Lieutenant Sandilands. Sergeant Farmer at once went to the officer, who was perfectly helpless and carried him away under a heavy and close fire to a place of comparative safety, after which he returned to the firing line and was eventually taken prisoner." With various copied research, George Graham Beckett Muller was commissioned in West India Regt 13/5/96, promoted Lieut 22/12/97, Capt 5/11/00, Act Maj 23/12/16, with Labour Corps Commandant of a POW Camp 14/10/18, Temp Lt Col whilst Commandant of a Concentration Camp 3/4/19, served with 3rd Bn W.I.R. in Boer War, attached to East Surrey Regt WWI, landed France 7/1/15, Manchester Courier dated 10/2/15 lists him among the wounded, later served in Salonika, released from Reserve of Officers as reaching age limit 9/7/24, died 10/10/58. With photo in East Surrey uniform, death certificate, 2 regimental Xmas cards, 1895 Pattern Infantry Officer's Sword, QV cypher, blade half etched, maker's naming rubbed, back of blade numbered 100139, sash, sword knot, steel scabbard and a very detailed diary from Dec 1917 to May 1919 with 120 full pages of entries.
