Album COMMONWEALTH (Photo) (plate 2) 1937/52 comprehensive mint GVI collection in well filled 'Crown' album, not much missing and as such a desirable collection with much premium material. All the 1938 sets are present incl Bahrain, Bermuda, Falklands, HK, India, Kuwait, New Hebs, Perak and Seychelles with better sets such as 1937 Aden Dhow, '37 Burma Officials, '37 Kelantan and 1939 North Borneo also included. Significantly, the Indian Convention sets are complete with most of the difficult Feudatory States issues [many seldom seen from Bhopal, Cochin, Charkhari etc], also Canada OHMS, South Africa, all the Weddings etc. Also noted, a fine range of the New Zealand Postal Fiscals incl £1, 25/- [toned gum], £2, £3 and £4, plus Officials complete. Album COMMONWEALTH (Photo) (plate 3) 1840/1936 collection in 2 printed Imperial albums, the earlier material tends to be used [mixed condition] but there is a strong mint content in the later period with many better areas and highlights. The GB incl 2 x 1d black and 1840 2d, SG 183 with cds and a PUC £1, then mint Antigua incl 1913 5/-, Ascension 1934 set used, Australia, Bechuanaland 2/ 6d Waterlow and 5/- Bradbury, Bermuda incl 1920/21 sets mint, Br. East Africa 1890 ½a and 4a surch used, 1897 1r and 2r mint, Somaliland 1904 1r to 5r mint, Brunei 1906 set [no gum], Burma 1937 set to 25r [cat £2500] with patchy, toned gum and Capes incl 4d Woodblock. Other mint highlights incl Ceylon EDVII set to 2r.25, Cyprus 1934 set, Dominica 1907 5/-, Gambia 1898 set [and 1869 6d fine used], Gibraltar 1889 and '98 sets, EDVII 8/- and £1 o/pt Specimen and useful HK. There is a page of 40 used Griqualand, India incl imperfs, also 218 and 218w u/m with useful Native States [and many Court Fees, Revenues etc]. Ireland 1935 Seahorse 2/6d and 10/- used, KUT 1935 set to £1 used, useful Malta and Mauritius, New Guinea with 1935 £2 mint, strong NZ, Nyasaland 1891 o/pt 1d to 4/- and SG 19, Rhodesia with mint 'Arms' [£5, £10 and £20 fiscals] and lovely ranges of Double Heads and Admirals. St. Helena has mint QV, 1903 set, 1922 7/6d and SG 99e, Samoa, Sarawak and Seychelles with good Sierra Leone, South Africa, Southern Rhodesia, Straits Settlements and Tanganyika. 1935 Jubilee sets running through incl many in mint pairs, there are Revenues and other items added, a lovely original lot, with substantial cat value. £7500-9500

Album COMMONWEALTH (Photo) (plate 4) 1840/1902 used [a few mint] collection in lovely old Imperial printed album with a good, solid content. The GB section incl 1d black [2] and 2d blue, later line engraved incl 1d plates to 224 and 180 or so surface printed [incl £1 green SG 212]. Areas of note thereafter incl Br. South Africa Co [Rhodesia], Canada, Capes, India, Seychelles, Straits etc. There are better items dotted around [noted Mafeking SG 17, Jamaica CC 5/- with inverted wmk etc] and it is the type of lot where finds could be made.   Carton COMMONWEALTH 1953/74 fine used QEII collection housed on pages in 11 binders from A to Z, most countries are present and appear to be complete [in terms of basic sets], so all the better 1953 sets etc are included. Some countries include later years [Falklands to 1992, HK to 1995, Gibraltar, Ascension, St. Helena and others to 1985]. Fine condition throughout, a lovely collection. £2000-2500

  Album COMMONWEALTH 1840/1936 collection of mint and used in 2 printed Imperial albums (Vol 1 and 2), good spread in content with many top values seen, GB includes 1840 1d black (x2) and 2d blue, strong India and States sections, excellent run through with several 1000 stamps, the albums are in good condition and this constitutes an ideal collection to further develop. £1800-2250
