  Two Copeland, Staffordshire plates from Royal Yacht Osborne (Queen Victoria/ Edward VII) decorated with a Queens Crown above "Her Majesties Yacht", within a border of blue and gilt scrolling foliage, circa 1890-1901, 25.5cm & 21.5cm & a cake stand with a Princes crown above "The Royal Yacht". 15cm High.
Compare with a similar plate in The National Maritime Museum accession no AAA5390. The central motif of the NMM plate is decorated with a Queens Crown above Her Majesties Yacht. It appears that this plate bears a Princes crown. The motif was probably changed when the Prince either took possesion of the Yacht for a period of convalescence when the yacht was moored near Osborne House, Isle of Wight; or on his accession to the throne. £40-60
