Gescha (Germany) Clockwork Tank. A rare pre-war tinplate tank bearing the early Gescha logo but also impressed P.W (Paul Weiss?) to the side of the tank body. Paul Weiss is thought to have worked with Gescha in the 1920's before moving to Bing. Detailed tinprinted camouflage body with grey steel wheels and rubber tracks. Gun barrel can be elevated by lever to rear of turret. Includes key. Clockwork motor working when tested, though rubber tracks have hardened with age and do not turn. Length 3.5"/9cm. Condition is Excellent. A rare and interesting toy. £100-£150

Domo (Italy) Maserati Tipo 4CL Racing Car. Circa 1950. A rare red sheet and cast metal electrically powered model in its original wooden carrying case. The car comes complete with its electronic control box with steering wheel and forward/reverse lever, aluminium tethering pole, stand, pulleys etc, connecting leads and a detailed illustrated instruction booklet in English. Also included is the original porcelain shoulder-headed racing driver. Length of car 17"/43cm. The upper part of the car body has been expertly repainted and there is a professional repair to the left front suspension strut. Lacks windscreen. Cloth covered electric control leads have been cut but are still present. Some small paint chips to base, particularly along side edges. Lacks wire "fender" that could optionally be slotted to front of car. Driver has chips to face, one missing glove and some moth damage to fabric. Overall condition is Good Plus for display in original Good wooden box. This is a scarce and desirable model that has been in the vendor's family from new in 1950. £800-£1200

Unusual mechanism which is activated by pushing the black tinplate gun barrel down and letting it go. Three rubber tyres are contained in the body of the van. "Triangtois" tinplate logo attached to front of van body. Number plate "LB 3067" to rear. Surface pitting to black metal parts.
