  A CAVALRY SWORD.An officers 1821 pattern Cavalry Sword, with steel scabbard. The blade of 36" length, is marked Hawkes & Moseley & Co, London. Manufacturers to the Queen.VR under a radiant crown, amid foilage and proved on the back edge. Some rust evident, mostly around the throat of the blade. The steel honeysuckle style guard shows some rusting, the steel scabbard appears to lack its wooden inner's.£150-200

  A SWORDSTICK.A cast brass hilt of a youthful seated figure, with straight five sided blade of 27.1/2" length. Cane scabbard with brass chafe, which locates inside the recessed hilt.£80-120

  A NAVAL DIRK.An Officers Naval Dirk with scabbard, GV period with reverse acorn quillions. The scabbard of brass and leather, with spring clip and double mount rings. 18" spearpoint blade with some decoration evident.£80-120

  A SIGNED BATTLE OF BRITAIN Sept 24th 1942 DINNER MENUA London Hangar Q B, Dinner to the Battle of Britain Boys at the Savoy Hotel, signed by many participants and famous names. Over 100 signatures including Billy Clyde 601 Sqdn an 'Ace'. Anthony Bartley 111 Sqdn (12 kills). Dennis Crowley-Milling, Hugh Dowding, Max Aitken, M C Loudon, Basil Embry, etc. Centre sketch signed Struple, with Goering getting his backside kicked. The numbered signatures are presumably a key to a separate listing of participants at the dinner.Some damage evident but kind treatment has ensured its survival.£100-150

  A 19thC SIDEARM & SCABBARD.An early Customs or Coastguards 19thC sidearm or hanger with curved single-edged 25.1/2" blade with three-quarter fuller. The blade is marked on the rib, F Deakin Cast Steel, the hilt of cast brass. The scabbard of leather with brass mounts. F Deakin is recorded as a Birmingham maker in 1821. Formerly of Woolley & Deakin C1800 onwards.£80-120

  A BOER WAR POW CAMP IN INDIA CARVED STICK.The officer presented with the carved hardwood stick, Captain B D Broughton a descendant of William the Conqueror. Inset into the stick is Captain B D Broughton, P O W Camp:Bellary:India. Made by W C Stevens, Krijscevangene 12 July 1902. The inset lettering is on each of four sides, above the ornately twisted stem above a damaged tip. 34" overall length, with a four sided pommel.Captain later Mjr B D Broughton served in the Indian Army, promoted Captain 16/8/1910. A Double Company Commander in 1914, serving then in the 13th Rajputs (Sherhawati) Regiment.The son of the 9th Baron Sir Henry Delves Broughton.A relative Sir Hy J Delves Broughton was charged with the murder of his wife's lover, Josslyn Hay the 22nd Earl of Erroll. The basis for the film White Mischief in Happy Valley Kenya.£100-150

  A 1796 LIGHT CAVALRY PATTERN VARIANT SWORD.A 1796 Variant Sword in the Light Cavalry style, with steel mounted scabbard. The clean short 1796 blade of 28" in length, has no visible markings. The grip has been rebound and has a shaped backstrap, like the hilt in steel. The scabbard has also been refurbished, making an interesting variant or private purchase sword.£150-250

  AN 1805 PATTERN ROYAL NAVY LIEUTENANTS SWORD.An 1805 Pattern Naval Lieutenants 'Lighweight' or Dress Sword. Ornate hilt with stirrup guard bearing entwined foilage, anchor and crown decorated langets. Straight tapering six-sided narrow blade of 27.3/4" length. Lightly etched decoration, to the first few inches of the blade, lacking a scabbard.£150-250

Some rust covering evident, though does not appear too deeply set, a few marks of unit or armourer are visible on the blade, 1846 on the hilt.£80-120

  A 19thC KHYBER KNIFE.A steel handled 19thC Indian Khyber knife, with 14.1/2" yatagan shaped blade. Steel cast hilt with engraved designs, the blade has a similar pattern over its surfaces. 20.1/2" overall length.£70-90

  19thC THEMED PEN & INK SKETCHBOOK.Including a sketch of the City of Montreal ablaze, from the Barque Trebant. A fallen Tribesman after the Battle of Gemaizah 1888. The Apache War of 1888, the Arizona Rangers Camp, Apache Types etc. The Inconstant surprised and sunk off Malin Head by the Spider. Torpedo Boat on the Warpath, etc. Almost all signed by Herbert Winterton, who went on to a career in Photography. These scenes were as he saw or envisaged them to be.£60-80

  A KRIEGSMARINE BATTLE ENSIGN.A large 11' x 6' German Navy Flag of the Nazi period Kriegsmarine, complete with fixing rope and markings. In very good overall condition, marked with Kriegsmarine M and Reichsdienstfl Gr 8 ER 75 on the white spine. The original corded rope with loop top fixing and a meter or so of tie rope. There appears to be only slight staining and no moth damage evident.£200-250

  A P O WAR MADE CANNON & CARRIAGE IN BONE.A Prisoner of War made Field Cannon and Limber, in animal bone. Held together by dowels, standing approximately 3" high and some 16" long. The cannon has a breech that swings open and a single lifting/sling bar on top. The limber box is hinged, rammer and range taper also horse/shaft fittings are present.£800-1000
