An important Elizabeth I silver mounted "Tiger Ware" stoneware jug (circa 1570), the neck mounts embossed and engraved with three lion masks within shaped cartouches, divided by fruit, the hinged cover with corresponding decoration and cast angel thumbpiece, the loop handle with engraved mount, engraved date "1570" and initials "I.S." and "R.B.", the foot mount with gadrooning and battlemented upper border joined by four body ribs to an engraved shoulder collar, with unidentified maker's mark to all mounts, with the motto "Ne Cede Malis" (Yield not to Misfortunes) engraved to the underside of the foot, 11ins high £15000-20000

A mid 14th Century Northern French (probably Paris) medieval carved ivory diptych panel with the Virgin in Glory, the Virgin holding the Christ Child with candle bearing angels to each side beneath a single trefoil arch, the upper part with leafy crockets and tripartite spandrels in both upper corners, with hinge marks to the right hand side, 4ins x 2.375ins x .375ins deep £4000-5000

A rare 18th Century English fruitwood biscuit mould, deeply carved to one side with the "Biddenden Maids" - Eliza and Mary Chulkhurst, inscribed with their names to the top above the figures with "Biddenden" to the base, and with the inscription "A34Y IN 1100" to their dresses, 4.5ins high x 2.125ins wide x 1ins deep £600-800
Note: These locally famous sisters were born adjoined at the hips and shoulders in Biddenden, Kent, in 1100. On the death of one sister at the age of 34 years, the other was advised to be separated from her by dissection but she apparently refused stating that as they had come into the world together, so they would leave it together. She fell ill within a few hours and died. Their Will stipulated one thousand rolls impressed with the design of the two sisters were to be distributed to strangers on Easter Monday. The Will also made provision for the distribution of about 500 loaves with cheese to the poor of the Parish of Biddenden
