British Pattern 1853 Socket Bayonet, comprising: Socket Bayonet with Locking Screw [Overall Length: 20.4" / Blade Length: 16.9"] Originally Issued for use with the Pattern 1853 Muzzle Loading Rifle it has a Blade that Slightly Curves away from the Muzzle of the Rifle. This Design Feature was Integrated so the Soldier could Load the Muzzle-Loading Pattern 1853 Rifle without Spiking Himself on the Point of the Bayonet.
