| The following thirty-one lots (68-98) are from the collection of Eberhardt Voigt (1920-1983). 'My father Eberhardt Voigt was born on the 24 June 1920 in the town of Mysłowice in Silesia, now southern Poland, at the time the point where the Austrian, German and Russian Empires adjoined. When still a child he started collecting stamps and coins, and later on in life his passion for the arts expanded to a wide range of fields, from Asian art to Tribal. However, his main collecting focus and interest was always ancient art. Driven by this passion my parents started travelling around the globe. Their longest and most adventurous trip took them from Tunis across Libya and Egypt, the Lebanon and Syria, making their way back via Turkey and Greece, all by car. Certainly an incredible adventure back in 1959, and sadly impossible nowadays.Inspired by his travels he then started building his collection in the 1960s and early 1970s, often buying from German galleries and auction houses. He sadly and prematurely passed away in 1983.' -Markus Voigt-
