It includes the elaborately decorated shotgun presented by King Leopold to the future Edward VII, the boy-sized muzzle-loader that three kings learned to shoot with, a failed entrant in the competition to choose a new standard army rifle in the 1860s, a Belgian rifle captured as a trophy in the Crimean War and a gold-plated four-barrelled Lancaster pistol in a blue velvet presentation case. Most of the guns have been photographed in colour, while the supporting illustrations include details of accessories and archive material.
